Across 184 children in the Western and Eastern Cape on Product A for at least 30 days, mean height-for-age increased by 0.41 z-scores over the four-month window — a meaningful improvement above the WHO trajectory for this age band. Weight-for-height gains were more modest at 0.18 z-scores. Three ECDs out of four met or exceeded the programme target.
